The institute carries out cutting edge research at the interface of agricultural biotechnology, bioinformatics, biostatistics, food processing, postharvest technology, and nutritional sciences.
National Agri Food Biotechnology Institute invites applications for high quality research for the post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and Junior Research Fellow (JRF). Last Date of submission of Application is 23 December 2015

Pay Band:
The JRFs/SRF will be hired as per the emoluments’ guidelines and service conditions notified by DST (DST OM No.SR/S9/Z -09/2012 dated 21.10.2014 ) as per their own fellowship support or a fellowship from NABI.
Nationality: A candidate must be a citizen of India
Qualification: motivated candidates with high level of creativity, innovative research ideas and communication skills and drive for carrying out research aiming at the following areas:
1. Agri-Biotechnology:(Thrust areas includes: genediscovery for processing and nutritional quality in wheat, wheat transformation for nutritional improvement, data mining in crop genomes and transcriptome).
2. Food and Nutrition Biotechnology:(Thrust areas includes : utilizing nano-particles in Anemia and TR(i)P to gut-brain-axis functional role in metabolic disorder and inflammation).
Mode of Selection: Suitable candidates will be shortlisted as per DST guidelines and based on their area of qualification, training, research experience and relevance of skills to the institute. The shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview in front of a selection committee
