Indian Army invites online application from eligible male candidates for recruitment of 85 Posts of Teachers in Indian Army as Junior Commissioned Officer for RRT 80, 81 & 82 courses. Religious Teachers preach religious scriptures to troops and conduct various rituals at Regimental/Unit religious institutions. . Last Date for submission of application is 31 December 2015

Pay Band: Rs 9300-34800/-. In addition they will be entitled to DA, free accommodation, entitled ration for self, uniform, free medical and leave travel concession for self, family, and dependents, canteen facilities and other allowances as admissible to the regular Army

Nationality: A candidate must be a citizen of India

Age Limit: 
1. 27 to 34 Years as on 01 Jan 2016 for civilian
2. 25 to 34 Years as on 01 Jan 2016 for serving combatants on remusteration

Educational Qualification: The minimum educational qualification for appointment to Junior Commissioned Officers (Religious Teacher) will be Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. In addition to this they must also possess following qualification according to the religious denomination of the individual:

Pandit : Hindu candidates with Madhyam a in Sanskrit or Bhushan in Hindi or equivalent standard in the regional language concerned. OR Those who have passed BA with Sanskrit / Hindi as one of the elective (Main) subjects but have not done Madhyama in Sanskrit or Bhushan in Hindi.

Granthi : Sikh Candidates with Vidwan in Punjabi or equivalent standard in the regional language concerned OR Those who have passed BA with Punjabi as one of the elective (main) subjects but have not done Vidwan in Punjabi.

Padre :Christian candidates who have been ordained priesthood by the appropriate ecclesiastical authority and are still on the approved list of the local Bishop

Pandit (Gorkha) for Gorkha Regiments : Hindu (Gorkha) candidates with Madhyama in Sanskrit.OR Bhushan in Hindi or equivalent standard in the Nepali Language. OR Those who have passed BA with Sanskrit / Hindi as one of the elective (Main) subjects but have not done Madhyama in Sanskrit or Bhushan in Hindi.

Maulvi (Shia) for Ladakh Scouts : Muslim Shia ladakh personnel candidates with Maulvi Alim in Arabic, Adib Alim in Urdu or equivalent standard in the regional language concerned. OR Those who have passed BA with Arabic/Urdu as one of the elective (Main) subject but who have not done Maulvi Alim in Arabic/ Adib Alim in Urdu.

Bodh Monk (Mahayana) : Budhist (Mahayana) candidates who have been ordained Monk/Budhist Priest, by the Appropriate Authority. The term Appropriate Authority will mean Head Priest of the Monastery where the person has been initiated into priesthood. The head priest should be in possession of Geshe (Ph D) of Khanpa or Lopon or Rabjam with proper certificate from Monastery.

Mode of Selection: Selection will be based on Short listing of Application & SSB Interview.

How to apply:

(i) For candidates applying for Pandit, Granthi and Padre categories will only be accepted online on website www.joinindanarmy.nic.in .
(ii) Muslim (Shia) candidates of Ladakh region applying for Maulvi (Shia) category will submit written application duly filled to Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre only.
(iii) Gorkha Candidates applying for Pandit (Gorkha) category will submit written application duly filled to Gorkha Recruiting Depot Kunraghat only.
(iv) Budhist (Mahayana) candidates of Sikkim Region only will submit written application duly filled to 11 Gorkha Rifle Regimental Centre, Lucknow only.
(v) Budhist (Mahayana) candidates of Other than Sikkim will submit written application duly filled to Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre only.
