Institute of Indian Technology IIT Mandi, Himanchal Pradesh invites applications from eligible Candidates to fill up the post of  Junior Superintendent, Senior Library Information Assistant, Junior Assistant, Junior Lab Assistant . Last Date of submission of Application is 14 December 2015

Post: Following non teaching posts are will be on contract basis for upto five years initially.

Junior Superintendent :04 vacancies
Senior Library Information Assistant: 01 vacancy
Junior Assistant: 02 vacancies
Junior Lab Assistant: 03 vacancies

Pay Band:
Junior Superintendent : Rs 9300-34800/- + Grade Pay 4200/-
Senior Library Information Assistant: Rs 9300-34800/- + Grade Pay 4200/-
Junior Assistant: Rs 5200-20200/- + Grade Pay 2000/-
Junior Lab Assistant: Rs 5200-20200/- + Grade Pay 2000/-

Nationality: A candidate must be a citizen of India

Age Limit:
Junior Superintendent :35 Years
Senior Library Information Assistant: 35 Years
Junior Assistant: 30 Years
Junior Lab Assistant: 30 Years

The upper age limit relaxation for reserved candidates is 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years in case of OBC candidates or as per Government of India norms. Those seeking relaxation in age, should give reasons thereof.

Educational Qualification:

Junior Superintendent :
Essential: 
1. Master Degree (with at-least 2nd division) with 5 years relevant experience.OR Bachelor Degree (with at-least 2 nd division) with 8 years relevant experience.
2.  Knowledge of office procedures, rules, computer office application and Secretarial practices in Central Government procedures/Academic matter/Estate Management/Hospitality.
3.  Accustomed to working in Computer environment.

Desirable: Experience of working in Higher Educational Institutions like IITs, NITs, IIITs etc

Senior Library Information Assistant: 
Essential: 
1. Bachelor Degree (B. Library) or equivalent diploma in Library Science from a recognized University/Institute or equivalent, obtained after graduation from a recognized university.
2. Experience of two years in a Library or a one year Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications from a Government Institution or a University.

Desirable: Candidate possessing (1) Higher academic qualification and/ or experience and (2) Knowledge of Library automation & networking will be given preference. Master in library Science (M. Library)

Junior Assistant: 

Essential: 

1. Bachelor Degree (with at-least 2 nd division) with knowledge of computer applications.

2. At least 02 years of relevant experience.

Desirable: 

1. Experience in handling Establishment matters/Legal/Purchase and Import/Accounts/Audit/ Hospitality etc.

2.Master Degree

Junior Lab Assistant: 

1. Diploma in relevant Engineering discipline of 3 years duration from a recognized Polytechnic/Institute OR B. Sc. Degree (Min. 55% marks) in relevant field from a recognized university. 

2. years working experience in relevant discipline. • Knowledge of computer office applications.

Application Fee:The application fee of Rs.100/- is to be paid by a Demand Draft in favour of Registrar Indian Institute of Technology Mandi payable at State Bank of India, IIT Mandi Branch (SBIN 0013711). No application fee is required from the Female/SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen candidates and Persons with Disabilities.
