Office of the District Judge Howrah Recruitment 2015 for Stenographer, Clerk & Others

Office of the District Judge Howrah, West Bengal invites application from the Eligible Indian Citizen candidates for filling up the posts of English Stenographer, Lower Division Clerk, Process Server, Group D and Group (D) Sweeper. Last Date for submission of application is 17 December 2015

Post: Following posts will be initially be made on purely temporary basis and is likely to be made permanent for all categories of posts as per rules.

1. English Stenographer: 09 vacancies
2. Lower Division Clerk: 20 vacancies
3. Process Server: 07 vacancies
4. Group D: 20 vacancies
5. Group (D) Sweeper: 03 vacancies

Pay Band:
1. English Stenographer: Rs 7100-37600/- + Grade Pay of Rs 3900/-
2. Lower Division Clerk: Rs 5400-25200/- + Grade Pay of Rs 2600/-
3. Process Server: Rs 5400-25200/- + Grade Pay of Rs 2300/-
4. Group D: Rs 4900-16200/- + Grade Pay of Rs 1700/-

Nationality: Candidate must be citizen of India.

Age Limit: Not less than 18 years and not more than 45 Years as on 01 January 2015

Relaxation of age limit would be for five years in case of SC/ST and three years for OBC candidates. The upper age limit for physically challenged candidates is 45 year. Relaxation of age limit in case of Ex-serviceman category is as per existing Government Rules. For the post of English Stenographer, there will be no age limit for persons holding permanent posts of Typist or Steno-Typist under the Government.

Eligibility :
1. English Stenographer: The candidate must have passed Madhyamik or Equivalent examination from any recognized Board and should have a certificate in computer training from a recognized institution and a satisfactory fingering speed in computer operation. A minimum speed @ 80 w.p.m in shorthand and a minimum speed @ 30 w.p.m in typewriting from a legible manuscript in English for 10 minutes is required.

2. Lower Division Clerk:The candidate must have passed Madhyamik or Equivalent examination from any recognized Board and should have knowledge in computer operation.

3. Process Server & Group D: The candidate must have passed eighth standard from any school under any recognized Board and should have knowledge in computer operation.

5. Group (D) Sweeper:The candidate must have passed eighth stan dard from any school under any recognized Board.

Application Fee:By Bank Draft issued by any Bank and payable at Howrah
1. For Steno & Clerk: Rs 400 for General & others excluding SC/ST, Rs 50/- for SC/ST
2. For Process Server & Group D: Rs 400 for General & others excluding SC/ST, Rs 25/- for SC/ST

Selection Mode: Selection will be made on the basis of written test. (computer /personality test where applicable)

How to apply: Eligible candidates shall have to submit downloaded application form from the website of the Hon'ble Calcutta High Court(www.calcuttahighcourt.nic.in) and submit filled up application form as per instructions contained therein and the same sh ould be sent alongwith desired documents to the "Chairman, District Recruitment Committee, Howrah and District & Sessions Judge, Howrah Howrah District and Sessions Court, 1 M.G Road, Howrah –711101, West Bengal, India" on or before 22 December 2015.
